I have used this service on many occasions for help on backtracks for either competition or classroom projects. Every time I have asked for a backtrack, I got it quickly and the quality was amazing.

How hard are the tracks to use?
Not hard at all. All you need is a CD player with an advance feature which most players today have.
You pop the CD in and use it as you would with any sound cue in a show.
There are some customers who have used a computer set up also using a playlist feature.
There are many possibilities to playing our tracks.

Would we be able to change keys, tempo, make cuts?
Absolutely. We can make any changes in key, tempo or cuts in dance numbers etc. Just have your music director let us know what is needed and we will get it done for you.

How soon do we have to let you know about any changes in the songs keys, tempos etc?
We can make changes up to two weeks before your opening night. Anything after that time will be considered a rush order and extra fees may apply.

There are some songs that start right away. In other words there is no lead in at all, how would the actor know when to start?
By using the tracks over and over through rehearsals, this becomes second nature. However, we can add count in Clicks, Bell Tone or even a slight introduction if needed on certain songs.

Can we use these tracks again if we decide to produce the same show?
No. Your contract is for the run of the licensed performance according to your contract. If you wish to use the tracks in the future you must enter into a new contract with Custom Broadway Midi.

What does "Partial Orchestration" mean? Does it mean these are not the complete shows?
No. It means that we have completed all the numbers for these shows, but have not fully added all the "voices" or orchestrations to the tracks. You will receive the partial orchestration for your rehearsals and we will complete the orchestrations at no extra charge, once completed the full orchestrations will be sent

How do we know what song is what?
All the songs are numbered in the order they appear in the show.

How will we receive the tracks?
You can request either an audio CD or to receive them digitally via the internet.
We can send them via a secure server which you can then download and transfer onto your own CD.
It is your choice how you would like to receive the tracks.

If we don't like the tracks can we return them and get a refund?
Because of the nature of the product, we can not give any refunds. If there is something wrong with the tracks we will do everything in our power to correct the situation.

If we add a performance to our show do we have to pay any extra?
Not to us. Unlike other services you can use the tracks for the RUN of your show. If you add dates to the run, there are no additional costs to use our tracks.

Do we have to give you credit in our playbill?
Yes. This is one of the terms of your contract. You must add the following to your playbill.
"Musical Tracks provided by CUSTOMBROADWAYMIDI.COM"

We want a show that is not in your list, how do we go about getting you to do those tracks?
You can read all about getting a custom project here CUSTOM PROJECTS

Can we split the cost of a custom project with another theater?
Certainly! That is why we have the DISCUSSION FORUMS set up. If you are doing a show and want the tracks, post in the SHARE A SHOW forum and see if there is any other company wanting the same show.

Will the tracks we receive sound like the tracks on your site?
The sample tracks on our site are recorded at a lower rate than the tracks you will receive. The sound is GOOD, but your tracks will be much better. They are smaller on the site for storage purposes, and to load quickly for customers browsing the site.
